In May 1945 Germany surrendered to the Allies after six long years of fighting, the war in Europe came to an end. Millions of people up & down the country greeted the news with bonfires, bunting, parades and parties, & there was singing and dancing in the streets.

Blitz Time Sally will be performing on our stage.
Get out your victory rolls, your lindy hop or your land girl outfits... use your imagination and create a fabulous 1940's themed outfit... Prizes for Best Dressed Adult and Best Dressed Under 16. Visit the stage at 2.30 to parade your outfit.
Whether you are baking as a family or creating a masterpiece we would love to see your creations in our Best Victoria Sponge Competition.
One prize will be awarded to the Best Decoration.
One prize will be awarded to the Best Taste.
And a prize will also be awarded for Best Family Creation.
To enter your Victoria Sponge please bring your creation to the Vintage Tea Room by 12.30pm with a card on with who has been involved in the creation of your cake.
Join us in a celebration toast to the heroes of the Second World War at 3pm.
Raise a glass, a bar will be provided by the Rugby Club so get your favourite tipple and celebrate with us.
